This notice explains what happens to the details you give us when you register interest in Legible on this website.

Who we are

Legible is run by [your legal name, or company name and number], [postal address]. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can contact us about anything in this notice at hello@legible.uk.

What we collect

Your email address, the date and time you submitted it, and which of the two forms on the page you used. We don't ask for anything else, and this site doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies.

Why, and on what basis

To email you when the Legible pilot opens and, if you reply, to talk to you about taking part. The lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, and we'll delete your details.

Who else handles it

• Netlify, Inc. hosts this website and stores form submissions for us. Netlify is based in the United States, so your details may be processed there, with the safeguards UK data protection law requires for international transfers.
• Google serves the typefaces this site uses (Google Fonts). When a page loads, your browser asks Google for them, which gives Google your IP address. We don't receive anything from this.

We don't sell your details or share them with anybody else.

How long we keep it

Until the pilot opens and we've contacted you, and for no more than [12 months] after that unless you've become a customer or asked us to stay in touch.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete them, or object to how we use them. Email hello@legible.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we'd like the chance to put it right first.
